Medical conditions and the benefits of cannabis

We already mentioned that cannabis can be a viable, safer alternative to substances like alcohol and tobacco, but did you know that it can also be used as a treatment for addictions to these substances, and more? Individuals addicted to serious drugs like heroin, opiates, and cocaine, are showing promise in ridding themselves of their addictions through cannabis therapy.

Of course, it’s entirely possible to develop a dependency to marijuana, also – so responsible and mindful use is key.

Cannabis contains over 85 cannabinoids, some of which have been found to have therapeutically beneficial properties. The two major cannabinoids found in cannabis that academic and scientific studies demonstrate to possess the most therapeutic properties are cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) though a number of other cannabinoids, like cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN) also exhibit health benefits.

These cannabinoids interact directly with the body’s endocannabinoid system – a signaling network found within every mammalian species on Earth. It features two cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2 receptors, which THC and CBD “dock” with to provide their therapeutic effects.

CBD and Medical Cannabis Research

n the past, Cannabis was seen strictly as a recreational product but rapid advances in scientific and medical research have uncovered the therapeutic potential of the cannabis plant and there have been a number of clinical trials with cannabis to study its effectiveness as a medical treatment

The human brain contains cannabinoid receptors, which help the body regulate mood, memory, appetite, and pain sensation. The body can naturally produce these endocannabinoids or they can be introduced into the system by way of cannabis. With an increased focus on these health-inducing compounds, some medical professionals have begun recommending cannabis in treatment for a wide array of medical conditions, from Alzheimer’s disease to Epilepsy, Cancer, Glaucoma, Stress, Insomnia, Hyper-tension, and Back Pain. Cannabis and the Law

Cannabis legislation is being relaxed all over the world – but not in the UK, where the most unlikely of horticulturalists are taking the law into their own hands At Discount Cannabis Seeds we only sell Cannabis Seeds as souvenirs and we do not accept any liability for customers purchasing them for any other purposes.

Is Cannabis legal?

Cannabis, unfortunately does not follow a strict line of being legal or illegal across the globe, and in fact can vary considerably in each country depending on its use and form.
Whilst it is illegal to own or possess the drug in the vast majority of countries around the world, many countries have in fact decriminalised possession in small quantities, with the reasoning that it isn’t being used to sell or supply.
In the UK, it is actually LEGAL to own cannabis seeds, such as the ones available on the Discount Cannabis Seeds website, but it is 100% ILLEGAL to grow or attempt to grow the cannabis plant from these seeds unless you have a licence from the Home Office.
WE STRICTLY ADVISE THAT PURCHASED CANNABIS SEEDS ARE NOT USED TO GROW CANNABIS PLANTS AS THIS PRACTICE IS ILLEGAL WITHOUT A LICENCE.

Is is well known, certain countries permit the possession of cannabis in certain circumstances, such as the Netherlands and Uruguay. More recently, a number of states in the USA have enacted legalisation of the plant.

We would like to assure customers that all our Cannabis seeds are purchased from reputable Cannabis breeders and are sold in the breeder’s original packaging.

Legal Access to Cannabis in the UK

Access to cannabis within the UK is limited to the pharmaceutical cannabis based medicine Sativex.

Sativex® is an oromucosal spray of a formulated extract of the Sativa cannabis plant that contains the principal cannabinoids THC and CBD as well as specific minor cannabinoids and other non-cannabinoid components.

This can only be prescribed to MS sufferers and is at your doctors discretion, so differing postcodes can effect access.

It should also be noted that although the NHS in Wales will subsidise Sativex, the NHS in England will not, so typical treatments can cost up to £500 a month.

All other cannabis use or production in the UK is Illegal.
