Automobile spray booth

Encore’s single column overhead machine designs allow customers to view the process from the safety of the cleanroom. Dual columns have limited visibility requiring the process to be viewed from inside the booth. Blow-off: Using Encore engineered and designed standard machines and robot mounted assemblies Encore offers an extensive assortment of custom blow off systems for a wide variety of vehicle and product sizes. Blow off systems typically fan driven, electro-statically charged, to remove dirt and foreign particles from the surface of parts prior to painting. There are a variety of options on blow off systems, including: Stationary (fixed) or Machine/Robotic. Machine configurations are of various sizes and complexities, High/low volume, high/low velocity air, Compressed or fan driven air, PC based or PLC based visualization systems, PLC based with PC or Panel view Graphical User Interfaces, Clean Wall or In-booth Design, Vacuum collection and/or booth collection of dirt.

A replacement for traditional melt sheets or bitumen mats, liquid-applied sound deadener material or LASD is a rubber-based acoustic insulating material that is sprayed onto car bodies prior to the sealer oven. It significantly reduces the noises transmitted via vibrating metal in the vehicle. TKS employs a large staff of full-time engineers. From sizing equipment based on heat loads and specifications to designing new layouts for brand new paint shops, our Engineering & CAD team can provide full-service engineering. We design custom paint booths, industrial ovens, and other paint process equipment.

From High-pressure water sprays to De-greasing to Surface Conditioner and Phosphate, and now, Metal Oxide Pretreatment for Aluminum bodies, TKS offers up to 10 different process steps to configure for your application. TKS has a patented counterflow design circulation system for Electro-deposition (ED) tanks. Rather than a traditional eddy swirling, which kicks up dirt from the bottom of the tank, our Counter-flow technology moves the entire ED current in one direction, from exit to entry. At vehicle entry the e-coat paint / UF water mixture is pulled through a UF filter module, and pumped back to the end of the tank. This ensures that the last layers of ED coating are the cleanest. TKS offers two dry paint capture options, in addition to our traditional water-based paint capture system. The first is a limestone-based system to capture paint over spray. The second option is a replaceable dry filter which captures the paint over spray in a cardboard box with several layers of filters.

In most paint shops, all major paint cure ovens are followed by a cooling tunnel to return the body to a lower temperature. This reduces the amount of paint smoke that is exhausted into the plant, ensures the bodies are at a cool enough temperature for team members to touch or for more paint to be applied, and also reduces the overall heat-up of the building.
